The Sangam is governed by its general body. Its members elect the executive committee, three mutawallis have held the Ezhu Lebbai Jamia Masjid since 22 November 1922. A register of members has been kept, and identity cards issued, since 1996.

Your rights

  • A place in the general body, which has elected the committee since 1922
  • An identity card, as issued to members since 1996
  • Right to place a matter before the general body
  • Right to contest any office after three continuous years of membership

Your duties

  • Uphold the Sangam’s motto: இயன்றதை செய்வோம் இல்லாதவர்க்கே
  • Attend the general body when able
  • Support the schools, the madrasa and the mosque as the elders did
  • Keep the good name of the Sangam in the muhalla

Enrolment is completed at the Sangam office on South Street. Please confirm current requirements there.

Forms are also available at the Sangam office beside the dargah’s outer gate, open every day after Asr.
